What are my refund options?
You can choose ONE of these three options:
  1. A full meeting registration refund (includes refund of all costs except for t-shirt purchases)
  2. A partial meeting registration refund that includes:
    • Switching your registration from the in-person meeting to the virtual meeting, including any short course and t-shirt purchases
    • Remainder refunded back to you
  3. A virtual meeting registration transfer and donation to AAPOR that includes:
    • Switching your registration from the in-person meeting to the virtual meeting, including any short course and t-shirt purchases (see FAQ for more information)
    • Remainder of funds donated to AAPOR to support the future of AAPOR

2. How do I select a refund option? If you are eligible for a refund or partial meeting registration (because you already registered for the in-person conference), you received an email outlining your refund options. If you registered for the in-person conference but did not receive an email outlining the refund options, please email [email protected] or click on the button at the top of this page to select your refund option. Filling out the refund request does not automatically issue the refund, but puts you into the right queue for having the refund issued to you or applied to the virtual conference.

3. Is there a deadline for reimbursement? You must submit your refund request no later than June 1, 2020. If you have not made a refund selection by June 1, we will accept the funds as a donation to support the future of AAPOR.

4. Once I submit my refund selection, how will I get my refund? Refund payments will begin in mid-June and on a rolling basis thereafter. If you paid by check, you will receive a refund by check. If you paid by credit card, the card used in the transaction will receive the credit.

5. Will I receive a confirmation for my refund? Once you select a refund option you will receive a confirmation email to let you know that your selection was successfully recorded. This email will not include the amount being refunded.

6. How do I find my login and password so I can access the online refund tool? You can view your AAPOR username or reset your password here.

7. I selected Option 2 or 3. How will I get confirmation that I have been registered for the virtual conference?
When your partial refund is processed, you will receive a confirmation email for the virtual conference.

8. What happens if I purchased a t-shirt?If you purchased an AAPOR t-shirt, you will not receive a refund for the t-shirt purchase. We are working out the details to get your shirt sent to you and will be in touch for additional information.

9. When will I learn more about the virtual conference? The virtual conference date and Preliminary Schedule of Events (including short courses) will be announced on April 3rd. Registration cost for the virtual conference for AAPOR members will be less than $200 plus any short courses.
