Annual Conference

The American Association for Public Opinion Research (AAPOR) will hold its 76th Annual Conference on May 13-16, 2021. Don't miss this opportunity to participate in the premier forum for the exchange of advances in public opinion and survey research.

The AAPOR Executive Council is in the process of determining whether to hold the 2021 Annual AAPOR Conference in person, as a virtual conference only, or as a hybrid conference. This decision will be announced in January 2021.

Call for Abstracts

The Abstract Submission Site will open on September 14, 2020. All Abstracts should be submitted by Friday, November 13, 11:59 p.m. (EST). Learn more!

We expect to send abstract decision notifications by the end of January 2021.

AAPOR is introducing a mini-conference related to the theme of Data Collection, Measurement, and Public Opinion During a Pandemic. Details about the mini-conference can be found here. Abstract submitters will be asked to indicate whether their abstract is being submitted for the mini-conference or the main conference. 
 

Notice to Federal Employees

The Annual AAPOR Conference conforms to the OPM definition of a “developmental assignment.” It is intended for educational purposes; over three quarters of time schedule is for planned, organized exchange of information between presenters and audience, thereby qualifying under section 4101 of title 5, United States Code as a training activity. The AAPOR Conference is a collaboration in the scientific community, whose objectives are to provide a training opportunity to attendees; teach the latest methodology and approaches to survey research best practices; make each attendee a better survey researcher, and; maintain and improve professional survey competency.
