AAPOR knows the value that students like you bring to our organization.  That’s why we’re offering students a free, one-year membership in AAPOR.  

Of course, we hope you’ll find membership in AAPOR as valuable as we do, and that you’ll decide to stick around! 

Membership includes a one-year subscription to Public Opinion Quarterly, all AAPOR mailings (except the election ballot) and full access to AAPORnet, a member-only listserv.   And renewals for students are only $25 a year.

Discounted Conference Registration

Every May, AAPOR’s Annual Conference brings together hundreds of the country's leading public opinion research scientists to discuss and analyze the latest research on public opinion and survey methodology, theory, and results.

Student members save $200 on registration fees. (In 2007, members paid $425; student members paid $225.)

The 2008 meeting is being held May 15-18 in New Orleans -- a fitting location for the conference theme of "Polls for the Public Good ".   The city will provide an important backdrop for conference sessions and speakers who will focus on the ways in which public opinion research since Hurricane Katrina has -- and can continue to be -- used "...for the public good".
