This year's 63rd annual 2008 AAPOR Conference provided an outstanding opportunity for AAPOR members to maintain and upgrade their professional status at the cutting edge of the public opinion research profession. 

We also had the wonderful opportunity to get to know the extraordinary city of New Orleans – both its fabled “fun” side, and the resilient side resolutely recovering from the devastation of Hurricane Katrina.  (more)

 Message from AAPOR President Richard Kulka

The summer solstice provides a good time for all of us to reflect on the good fortune in our lives, and especially our close friends and colleagues in our association.  Just over a month ago, it was with great excitement – and not a little trepidation – that I accepted the president’s gavel from outgoing President Nancy Mathiowetz at our annual conference in New Orleans, the city in which I graduated from Tulane University two score years ago.
