AAPOR Award Winner Kathleen Frankovic

Kathleen is Director of Surveys and a producer at CBS News, where she has major responsibility for the design, analysis and broadcasting of results from CBS News and CBS News/New York Times polls. She speaks and writes extensively about elections and public opinion, as well as the
development and use of polling by newspapers and  television. Her academic and scholarly contributions include identification of the gender gap; she has helped explain this phenomenon in news rooms, classrooms, to political campaigns, and the public.

Her contributions to AAPOR and to the public opinion research profession are extensive: at AAPOR she has served as President, Standards Chair, Conference Chair and Councilor-at-Large.

She has also been President of the World Association for Public Opinion Research as well as its Standards Chair; a member of the Market Research Council; a trustee of the National Council on Public Polls, a trustee for The Roper Center for Public Opinion Research; and a former chair of
the Research Industry Coalition.

AAPOR is the leading professional organization of public opinion and survey research  professionals in the U.S., with members from academia, media, government, the non-profit
sector and private industry.
