A distinguished panel of industry
leaders will discuss approaches to assessing “truth” in the
hundreds of surveys and polls released annually. The panel will
also discuss the many difficult issues involved in establishing a set of
professional standards. Finally, the group will debate the pros and cons
of AAPOR’s Transparency Initiative, an attempt to recognize
organizations that are open and forthcoming about the approaches and
methods they use when conducting publicly-released surveys.
