May 14-17, 2009 - Hollywood, Florida

The conference will bring together almost a thousand of the country's leading public opinion research scientists to discuss and analyze the latest research on public opinion and survey methodology, theory, and results.

The theme of this year’s AAPOR conference – Public Choices in Changing Times – highlights the tectonic shifts in media technology that have brought unprecedented variety in entertainment and information options, even as they have spawned entirely new means of reaching and cultivating audiences and publics and placed traditional methods of public opinion research in a state of flux.  The conference will feature papers, posters, methodological panels and demonstrations that inform our quest for new theories and methods, and help extend our field’s longstanding commitment to giving voice to the public.
